maybe.

Welcome to my cerebral cortex.

My jungle gym.

My happy place.

My head space.

Right here and now is when my filter waves goodbye just like the people who used to say more than "hey."

This is where I'll think feel out loud and

maybe

one of you desperate teens getting headaches from computer screens at 2:18 am will learn with me that

feeling out loud can be the okayest thing to do.

There may be countless thoughts in my head at any unholy moment but

maybe

I can just catch a couple and put them into a half-decent sentence that

maybe

won't be as long as this one.

Maybe

this blog will be the best in the class and I'll get 10+ comments on each post but

maybe

you'll click "next blog" and I'll be lucky to get one nosy page view from my mom.

Let's get real.  I'll just put it all out there.  I'll just feel out loud and

maybe

someone will listen.

  1. The rhythm that your "maybe"'s ("maybe's"? idk) added to it made the poem flow from one line to the next so smoothly. Plus you had this line:

    "maybe

one of you desperate teens getting headaches from computer screens at 2:18 am will learn with me that

feeling out loud can be the okayest thing to do."
